A classroom that is friendly and encouraging, safe and secure and a place with zero discrimination. These are the just some of the things that are key in creating a successful learning environment.

- Respectful talk, active listening, and turn-taking
- Acknowledgment of students' backgorunds and lives outside the classroom
- Body language indicative of warmth acn caring shown by teacher and students
- Physical prozimity
- Politeness and encouragement
- Fairness
