     When students walk into your classroom, it is your responsibility to create a welcoming, non-threatening classroom environment. A classroom that is friendly and encouraging, safe and secure and a place with zero discrimination. These are the just some of the things that are key in creating a successful learning environment.

The Classroom Environment 

Indicators Include:

  • Respectful talk, active listening, and turn-taking
  • Acknowledgment of students' backgorunds and lives outside the classroom
  • Body language indicative of warmth acn caring shown by teacher and students
  • Physical prozimity
  • Politeness and encouragement
  • Fairness
